The Cohen Residence is an interior renovation focused on reorganizing the primary suite and improving how light, space, and daily functions work together. The design rethinks the relationship between the bedroom, bath, dressing and circulation areas while working largely within the existing footprint.
Design Story
The project began with the opportunity to make better use of existing interior space rather than simply adding square footage. The primary suite is reorganized to create clearer circulation, better-defined functions, and a more comfortable relationship between the bedroom and bath.
Natural light became an important part of the bathroom design. A light well above the shower brings daylight deep into the interior without relying on a conventional exterior window. Changes in ceiling height, lighting, cabinetry, and finishes further define the individual spaces while allowing the suite to read as a cohesive whole.
